Ayr Roads Cycling Club will promote the Scottish Hill Climb Championships on the 23rd October 2011, up the Fairlie Moor Climb.


Youth riders (12-16) will contest the steep 1km bottom section, while the Juniors, Women and Seniors will ride a gruelling 2.25km with gradients reaching 1 in 5 in some places
.

The Scottish Hill Climb Championships is run under the conditions of the Scottish Cyclists' Union and is recognised as a Championship event with championship medals.  Wee shiney things you can get teary eyed and proud about as you bore your grandchildren from your rocking chair.
